Strategic Interventions

Sexual Reproductive Health

Good sexual and reproductive health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being in all matters relating to the reproductive system. It implies that people are able to have a satisfying and safe sex life, the capability to reproduce and the freedom to decide if, when, and how often to do so. To maintain one’s sexual and reproductive health, people need access to accurate information and the safe, effective, affordable and acceptable contraception method of their choice. They must be informed and empowered to protect themselves from sexually transmitted infections. And when they decide to have children, women must have access to skilled health care providers and services that can help them have a fit pregnancy, safe birth and healthy baby. Every individual has the right to make their own choices about their sexual and reproductive health. Droha, together with a wide range of partners, works toward the goal of universal access to sexual and reproductive health and rights, including family planning.

Vocational Skills

To create more sustainable livelihood, we train Women, teenage mothers and youths in hands on skills. These include, Welding and fabrication, Beauty and Cosmetology, Fashion and Design, Shoe making, Pre-urban farming.

Gender Based Violence

Gender-based violence is one of the most prevalent human rights violations in the world. It knows no social, economic or national boundaries. Worldwide, an estimated one in three women will experience physical or sexual abuse in her lifetime. Gender-based violence undermines the health, dignity, security and autonomy of its victims, yet it remains shrouded in a culture of silence. Droha Uganda has approached this through; Mentoring fathers Droha embarked on engaging male gender (majorly youth, and old) since men are usually perpetrators of many forms of gender violence. By engaging men we believe these forms can be prevented. Indeed there has positive impact since this started.

Financial inclusion

Financial inclusion means that individuals and businesses have access to useful and affordable financial products and services that meet their needs – transactions, payments, savings, credit and insurance – delivered in a responsible and sustainable way. In many parts, women are most likely to be left when it comes to access to financial, in the past it required man for a woman to open up accounts in the bank. Indeed women still struggle to access even small business to be able to support their families, yet women suffer the most with un supportive husband Financial inclusion has been identified as an enabler for 7 of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals.

The Process

But his answer was: *My grace is all you need, for my power is the greatest when you are weak.* I am not most happy, then, to be proud of my weakness, in order to feel the protection of Christ’s power over me.
